Hockey has nothing to do with Fedora here, either

Just a quick note that, despite the refereeing^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^HBlackhawks beating the Canucks earlier in the playoffs, I’ve still been watching, of course. Naturally I’m pulling for the Penguins in the finals, because they’re exciting and fun, and the Wings are dull, annoying, and Josh won our little contest. :) It was great to see them pull back from 0-2 and 2-3, but I can’t honestly see them winning game 7, just because the series so far has gone so totally to the home team in every game. It’s been strange, actually – of course home ice is an advantage, but it’s rare for it to be so…clear-cut. The games played in Detroit and the games played in Pittsburgh feel like two completely different series, it’s like both teams are completely different depending on the rink they’re playing at. Really bizarre. So unless that somehow turns around completely, it’s rather hard to pick anyone but Detroit to win out in the end, sadly.

My highlight of the series so far – Jordan Staal’s shorthanded goal. That was just brilliant.
